Lilly has lived in Green Valley all her life. Her father passed away and now her and her mother runs the little B&B they own. What has made it popular is Lilly’s muffins. She won a six month apprenticeship under a famous pastry chef in Florida.
Quinn is from Ireland but him and his brother arrive in Green Valley because it is where their mom grew up. They want to see if they should spread some of her ashes there. When Quinn walks into the B&B, he is dumbstruck by Lilly’s beauty. The attraction is instant and burns hot.
They have some problems with her mother, the fact she’s leaving for six months, and she doesn’t know if she wants to come back here or open a little shop in a bigger town. In the meantime, there is smoking sex, family who doesn’t even acknowledge Quinn and his family, and a journal.
This is a different story than I usually read from Ms DePaul. I laughed and cried. Very emotional story. I read it in one day.
